Player guide

Updates and patch notes

The full devlog of the game: every release with what changed, newest first. The same notes you see in the main menu's UPDATES panel.

About this devlog

Nothing 2 Lose is updated often, and every update that players can notice gets a line here. This page lists 34 releases with 366 individual changes, from Friday 2 October 2026 to Thursday 29 October 2026. 13 of those releases were big feature drops: new guns, new maps, new zombies, new modes or new systems. The rest were smaller patches that fix bugs, tune balance or polish the menus.

The same notes appear inside the game. The UPDATES panel in the main menu shows them too, and entries newer than the last one you opened there carry a NEW tag. This page is the long version for people who want to see how the game has grown, or who want to check whether a bug they ran into has already been fixed.

Each entry below shows the day it was released and a short title naming the main features. Under it you get one line per change, written in player words: what is new, what works differently and what got fixed. Internal work that you would never notice, such as code clean-ups or new tools for the developers, is left out on purpose.

How updates reach you

The game runs in your browser, so there is nothing to download or install. When a new version goes live, a normal reload of the page gives you the newest build. If the game ever looks out of date or behaves strangely right after an update, a hard reload (Ctrl+F5 on most desktop browsers) clears the old files. Your progress is not affected: an account keeps everything on our server, and a guest keeps it in the browser.

Found something broken that is not listed as fixed? Report it in the bug channel on our Discord (linked at the bottom of every page) with the map, the gun and what you were doing. Most fixes listed below started as a player report.

Week of 26 October 2026

Green blood, softer death effects, tougher elites + small-screen fixes

Thursday 29 October 2026 · Patch

  • Blood is now green
  • Death effects are toned down: bodies no longer blow apart as hard and there is much less splatter
  • Elite zombies are now mini brutes: bigger, faster, tougher and they hit harder (you can still outrun them)
  • Menus, HUD and results now fit small screens, phones and Chromebooks: no cut-off or covered text, and every button keeps its label
  • HOW TO PLAY sits clear of your thumbs, the crosshair stays visible through it, and it can't be dismissed by accident
  • Markers, station tags and name tags no longer cover each other, the crosshair or the HUD
  • The death and revive screen is clear at every size, and its offer buttons always match in size
  • Multiplayer: a player who leaves no longer shows up as a bot, and the spectator tags and squad bar are fixed
  • Busy servers show a clear message and a countdown before you can create a room again
  • The cash on the results screen always matches what was saved

Text that fits small screens, full-width phones + clearer pause

Monday 26 October 2026 · Patch

  • Small windows and Chromebooks: contract names, map modifiers, squad names and the EXP bar no longer break mid-word or overlap
  • Phones: the main menu now fills the whole screen width, also on iPhones with a notch
  • Phones: the Goals leaderboard shows the rows that fit plus your own row, and SEE ALL opens the full board
  • Highscores: your own row always shows your name
  • Multiplayer: after Esc the screen now reminds you that P opens the menu
  • Privacy and Terms links on the loading screen open in a new tab
  • Ad banners no longer reload when the window is resized a little

Week of 19 October 2026

New phone main menu, clearer zombie play + game-styled scrollbars

Friday 23 October 2026 · Patch

  • Phones: a new main menu built for small screens: the map fills the screen, one big PLAY button, and Armory, Player, Squad, PvP and Goals in a bar along the bottom
  • Playing as a zombie: every skill shows its key, energy cost and status, and says why it can't be used right now (cooldown, not enough energy, needs ground, low HP only, stunned)
  • Playing as a zombie: a short card explains your zombie's skills when you spawn; press H to open it again
  • The zombie store can now be clicked with the mouse, and a click outside closes it
  • The Tab panel while spectating and the GIVE UP button while down can now be clicked
  • Edgar's tongue: click again to let go
  • Fixed sprint draining energy on zombies that don't run any faster
  • New game-styled scrollbars in every menu
  • The pause menu fits every screen and never scrolls sideways
  • Phones: the attachments screen is much bigger, with a large gun view, parts as easy-to-tap rows and the BUY button always in view
  • Armory: the colour groups (rarity, Event) now wrap exactly their own guns

Menus that fit every screen

Thursday 22 October 2026 · Patch

  • Every menu now fits any window and phone size: nothing overlaps, and no text gets cut off
  • Every menu is open from your first round again: Player card, Next map, Multiplayer and the rest
  • One BACK button on every screen, always top-left
  • Armory: gun names, stats and prices always show in full, at the same big text size, and the list scrolls
  • Armory: the gun stats always open at the top, and the ATTACHMENTS button is always fully shown
  • Phones: the main menu and the Multiplayer menus fit short screens, and switches, tabs and buttons are easier to tap
  • Upgrade, Settings, the map picker and the results screen fit small screens too

A simpler start, smooth menus, P to pause, solid doors + ad fixes

Tuesday 20 October 2026 · Patch

  • After a round, one card shows the best gun to get next, and the Armory opens right on it
  • Your very first round result no longer starts the next round by itself
  • The first-round controls card now shows just the essentials
  • Healing a teammate now tells them who is healing them and how much HP they got
  • Menus, panels and popups now open and close smoothly
  • Fixed a few victory screen glitches (a toast over the VICTORY title, the next gun on a loaned gun, kills on the save card)
  • P now pauses the game, so Esc only leaves fullscreen; the Party tab moved to J
  • Open doors are solid now: you can't walk through a door anymore (bullets still pass)
  • Guests get a random name that stays theirs; log in to use your own name
  • Single player: the boss's ticket pile is now 200 Tickets, and it's all yours
  • Bigger text across all menus and screens, at every window size, and no more buttons overlapping on smaller screens
  • The chat filter catches many more bad words
  • Rewarded ads now pay only after the ad really finished; with an ad blocker on, ad-only offers show a short note and paid offers keep their Cash button
  • The end-of-round ad now plays by itself before the results, never under your finger
  • Results: a won round where you died now says why you got the loss share
  • Phones: the game now fills the whole screen, and the touch HUD (toolbar, rewards, banners, bot tags) no longer overlaps on any phone size

Week of 12 October 2026

Round pay rebalance, elite auras + Royal Pain charge drain

Sunday 18 October 2026 · Patch

  • The modifier pay bonus now depends on the map: Brutal gives +25 % on Easy, +50 % on Medium and +75 % on Hard and Extreme
  • Fixed the ad bonus showing more Cash than it paid on rounds with modifiers

  • Survival Unlimited is now a Normal / Unlimited switch right on Café County, Pinecrest Mill and Camp Redwater in the map picker, and those maps carry an ∞ badge
  • Unlimited cards show your new best time straight after a run
  • Chilling, Overcharged and Blazing elites now carry a ground aura that slows, shocks or burns you up close, and Mending elites heal in a wider area
  • Elites with several statuses glow in a gradient of all their colours and have more health; up to 3 statuses, very rare on Extreme
  • Rare single-status elites can now show up on Easy maps
  • Royal Pain's charge now drains slowly when you let go instead of resetting at once

Smarter bots, Royal Pain buff, carry arrow + fixes

Saturday 17 October 2026 · Patch

  • New game guides on the website: how to play, weapons, maps, zombies, items and all updates
  • Camp Redwater's mode is now simply called Survival

  • Fixed: getting stuck in ceilings, zombies overlapping each other and ragdolls falling through floors

  • Guests can now get the free Kalashnikova by watching an ad too
  • Your CrazyGames name and avatar now show in the game

Hack sliced zombies apart, daily quests for guests + fixes

Tuesday 13 October 2026 · Patch

  • Sliced zombies now stay 15 seconds, and you can keep cutting the pieces with any blade
  • Right-click with a blade (Katana, Zweihander, knives, Axe…) for a vertical chop; left-click stays horizontal
  • Zweihander: swings every 1.4 s (was 2 s) and hits for 210 (was 150)

Halloween boss: The Hollow King, Zweihander, King Street rebuilt

Monday 12 October 2026 · Feature update

  • New Halloween event map: Hollow Patch. Team up against The Hollow King, a giant rooted pumpkin boss with three phases, lantern shields to smash and pumpkin-head adds. Play it solo with bots or in co-op
  • Beat the boss to grab a pile of tickets and open up to 3 loot chests each: cash, tickets, items, and a 5% chance at the rare Jack o' Lantern mount
  • New rank-15 melee weapon: the Zweihander, a huge greatsword
  • Survivor bots now refill their empty gun at ammo stations instead of the one in their hand
  • King Street is rebuilt with far more detail: shops with interiors, rooftops, water towers, tram lines, a church and park in the south streets, and a busier bridge
  • Ride the Victory Truck on King Street: hop on with F, or just jump onto the bed, and press Space to jump off. It now speeds up and brakes smoothly, and turns without spinning
  • New King Street objective: escort the truck onto the bridge and hold it there, then ride it into the tunnel at the end
  • Roofs, bridge cables, beams and props now have proper collision on King Street, so you can stand on what looks solid. Real walkable stairs, plus ladders and trusses to climb (zombies can climb them too)
  • Zero Kelvin Station: the radio tower, water tower and roofs can now be climbed and stood on
  • PvP: every kill heals you 100 HP
  • PvP: after 10 seconds without taking damage, your health slowly comes back (2% per second)
  • PvP snipers must aim: hip fire is very inaccurate, scopes need a moment to settle before a shot is fully accurate, and you walk slower and shoot less accurately while moving
  • PvP shotguns reach 1.5x further
  • Co-op guns are unchanged

Monday 12 October 2026 · Patch

  • Easy maps (Café County, Farmhouse) now take about 5 minutes

Week of 5 October 2026

Zero Kelvin Station, sword slicing + the Royal Pain

Sunday 11 October 2026 · Feature update

  • New Extreme map: Zero Kelvin Station. A huge Arctic mining station in a night blizzard: restore power, mine kelvinite crystals, push the minecart up to the dig site and wake the ancient Ring. About 15 minutes, built for 10+ players, pays 7,200 Cash + 3,600 EXP. Extreme maps never come up as a random pick
  • On Extreme, fallen survivors (players and bots) come back next to the squad each time a step is cleared
  • Sharp melee weapons (katana, knives, axe, chainsaw, toy sword and more) now slice zombies in two along your swing on the killing blow, wherever the blade passes. Works on downed zombies and fresh corpses too, and on survivors in PvP
  • New Legendary drop: the Royal Pain, a lightning gun. Any supply drop has a 10% chance to carry it (one per room). Hold left click to charge, then chain lightning through up to 6 zombies; right click fires a thin arc that stuns. Its battery never refills, and it drops when its holder dies

Faster loading, easier Hard, better bots + fixes

Sunday 11 October 2026 · Patch

  • Hard is easier for small groups: zombies on Hard have less health and hit softer, and survivor bots aim, hit and engage better on Hard and Extreme
  • Fixed: survivor bots backing away from zombies no longer walk off cliffs into deadly water
  • Survivor bots now back away from Brutes and sidestep thrown maces and Ticker rushes
  • New setting: weather effects (falling snow) on or off
  • New players start on Café County, and their first objective rounds show an arrow and a prompt for the next thing to do
  • Guest progress is now checked by the server: when you make an account, what you really earned as a guest moves over, Tickets included
  • PvP: leaving and rejoining a match puts you straight back in the fight, and every PvP server now votes its map (the lobby shows the mode instead of a difficulty)
  • Fixed CrazyGames sign-in: you can now log in and register with your CrazyGames account, and your guns, Cash and rank save to it
  • Faster map loading, especially on phones: the loading bar keeps moving, phones start on Low graphics, and repeat visits load quicker. Graphics look the same
  • Fixed: if a round failed to load, the armor and items you brought are now given back
  • Login streak rewards x2.5, one missed day no longer breaks your streak; the weekly quest now pays 100 Tickets
  • Main menu: the right column no longer overlaps; the free-gun card is smaller and hides when no ad is available

Random incidents + elite zombies

Saturday 10 October 2026 · Feature update

  • Random incidents can now hit mid-round, announced with a banner and a timer next to your stats
  • Blood Moon: the sky turns red and zombies sprint at you for 60 seconds
  • Frenzy: a few zombies go berserk, sprint and get tougher. Each one drops loot
  • Bounty Runner: a rare gold zombie you can see through walls tries to run away. Kill it first for $500
  • Swarm: a very rare wave of Brutes or Tickers spread all over the map
  • Blackout: the lights go out (an eclipse on day maps), so use your flashlight
  • Golden Hour: headshots pay 3x Cash for 45 seconds

  • Flashlights are much brighter and reach much further

Rounds retimed

New PLAYER menu look

Friday 9 October 2026 · Feature update

  • PLAYER got a cleaner look: a bigger header, roomier side menu rows and everything lined up the same in every section
  • Weapons: All / Primary / Secondary / Melee tabs, clear Equipped and rank-lock tags on every gun, and attachments and special ammo in tidy rows
  • Titles: click any title to see how to earn it, then Wear it from the panel on the right. Tags no longer cover the title names
  • Contracts: a proper table with all BUY buttons the same size, and it now tells you how much cash you're short
  • Friends: a real Appear offline switch, a ⋯ menu on each friend for Remove and Block, and requests you sent now count
  • Fixed a tooltip that covered the menu, and a rare freeze when buying a contract

Smarter TDM spawns, mounts in PvP + fixes

Friday 9 October 2026 · Patch

  • Team Deathmatch: after your first spawn you respawn anywhere on the map, away from enemies, out of their sight and near your team. No more spawn camping on the base line

  • Friends: add friends by name, see who's online and in which room, and join them with one click, even in private rooms
  • Parties: team up with up to 5 players in multiplayer, pick Cash or EXP, earn ×1.5 on your own kills plus a share of your mates' kills. Party chat with p
  • Achievements: permanent goals with tiers that pay Cash, EXP and Tickets. Claim them in Player → Achievements
  • Titles: rare tags you earn and wear next to your name, from Common to Legendary
  • The new PLAYER screen is your hub: avatar, weapons, titles, achievements, contracts and friends in one place. Drag your character to spin it, and search your weapons by name
  • New gunsmith: one ATTACHMENTS button opens a live 3D gun you can turn and zoom. Click a part on the gun to pick an attachment, with stat bars and ▲/▼ changes before you buy

Railgun charge, smoother single player, new kill pay

Thursday 8 October 2026 · Patch

  • Railgun: hold to charge for up to 6 s for up to +50% damage and a bigger beam

  • Single player: pick up to 8 survivor bots. How many join depends on the map: up to 4 on Easy, 6 on Medium, 8 on Hard and Extreme. The lobby shows how many you get
  • New players get a short guide: a few intro cards on the first visit, a controls card in the first round and a pointer to the Armory after the first round. Every step can be skipped
  • The single-player lobby no longer counts down on its own: press the big PLAY button (or Space) when you're ready

Zombie piles, piercing .500 Magnum, longer melee reach, yellow forcefield

Wednesday 7 October 2026 · Patch

  • Crucible Back Kick (Q) reaches twice as far (12 studs) and now turns you toward the cursor in third person
  • The Christmas Spear stab reaches further and hits zombies that are slightly off-centre
  • The old revolver is now the .500 Magnum: a big stainless hand-cannon revolver with a new model, a heavy new shot sound and more damage (165, was 130). If you owned it, you keep it
  • The .500 Magnum now pierces: each bullet goes through up to 3 zombies with no damage loss
  • Forcefields have a new look: a faint yellow sphere with four gold shields orbiting inside, the same for Brute and Stalker blocks and your shield after a revive. Your screen edge glows yellow while you have it
  • Brutes now use their forcefield block only once per life: their last stand when badly hurt
  • Survivor bots no longer punch or kick while holding a gun, same as players
  • Zombies now pile up on top of each other to reach you on high ground (roofs, crates, rock ledges) and climb over the edge, so camping up high is no longer safe

Mounts, fall damage, Desert Eagle + Akimbo MP7s, tougher Hard maps, mission timers, AFK + typing tags

Tuesday 6 October 2026 · Patch

  • Hard maps are tougher: zombies have 25% more HP and hit 15% harder, and more special zombies show up (each special pays 30% less cash). Bosses keep full pay
  • Mission tasks now have a time limit (4 to 8 minutes). When it runs out you get 30 seconds of overtime to finish, then the round is lost
  • Desert Eagle: a new model, a bigger silencer, and the Gunslinger pose ($5,000): hold it one-handed and draw it off the hip with a trigger spin
  • Multiplayer: a "..." bubble shows over a player's name while they type in chat
  • Multiplayer: players who are idle for 30 seconds or switch tabs get an AWAY tag on their name and in the Tab list
  • Multiplayer lobby: ping now shows in ms, plus a note that our servers are in the EU
  • New mounts: the Jack o Lantern (a huge double jump and a slow, feathery fall) and the Helicopter (hold Space to fly up, let go to sink; 15 seconds of fuel that refills on the ground). Press M to hop on or off
  • Fall damage: long drops now hurt survivors (safe up to about 18 studs). Feather Boots raise the safe height, and the Cakepack, mounts and the post-revive shield protect you
  • New guns: Desert Eagle (secondary, rank 14) and Akimbo MP7s (dual-wield primary, rank 43), with full attachment sets and their own sounds
  • You can now embed Nothing 2 Lose on your own website: logging in there opens nothing2lose.eu in a new tab
  • Mission rewards now scale with the map difficulty: Easy pays less (x0.7), Medium the same as before, Hard pays more (x1.4). Examples: Farmhouse 2,520$, Pinecrest Mill 2,200$, Camp Redwater 3,080$, Campfire Chaos 5,600$
  • You now earn EXP equal to half the cash you are paid in every mode (it used to be a flat 200 outside Campaign)
  • Arena, Capture the Base, Survival, Hard and The President pay more cash for a win
  • Chinalake and M202 now throw their grenades much further (about twice the Chinalake's old reach), with the same big arc on both
  • Burning zombies are now properly on fire: many more flames lick up the whole body, with rising embers. High settings show the most, Low fewer so it stays smooth
  • Armor and items that ran out are now unequipped from your loadout instead of staying selected at x0 (unless Auto-Restock can buy them again)
  • Supply drops now drop Tickets: when the crate lands, gold tickets appear on the ground around it. Walk over one to get 5 Tickets, 30-50 per drop
  • Your tickets are yours alone: only you see them and nobody can take them. They stay for 3 minutes
  • Tickets have a new icon
  • Halloween event: only the Halloween armors are for sale now (Animatronic Bear, Boo Pack, Hallowed Pumpkin, Pumpkin Vest). The other event armors are locked until their event; any you own still work
  • Every map now shows its difficulty: Easy, Medium or Hard, with a coloured badge in the map picker, the multiplayer lobby, the server list, the map vote and the loading screen
  • Easy: Café County, Ashford Estate, Farmhouse. Medium: Panama Beach, Last Harvest, Pinecrest Mill, Dead Vacation. Hard: Camp Redwater, Blackfield Station, Campfire Chaos, 1930's Kingstreet
  • The difficulty now sets how many zombies come at you, not the map size: Café County and Kingstreet play exactly as before, Farmhouse and Last Harvest got a bit easier, Camp Redwater a bit harder
  • Phones: map vote cards no longer cut off the map name or the vote count

New armor: Animatronic Bear

Tuesday 6 October 2026 · Feature update

  • New Halloween armor: Animatronic Bear (20 Tickets, in the EVENT section while Halloween is on). A full animatronic bear suit, head to toe: big bear head with round ears, a little black top hat and a bow tie
  • +50 HP and +1 mag for every gun

Shared special-kill cash, point-blank flamethrower, faster Aegis + fixes

Monday 5 October 2026 · Patch

  • Special zombies: everyone who damaged one now gets paid for their share of the damage, not just the player who landed the kill
  • Flamethrower: zombies right in front of you now burn and take full damage, wherever your crosshair sits on them
  • Aegis Exo-Suit: the sprint keeps speeding up to +70% (was +30%), and the Shockwave Rush hits harder the longer you sprint
  • Every gun now has one consistent shot sound instead of switching between recordings
  • The Minigun has new wind-up, firing and wind-down sounds
  • MRE now heals 35 HP on every use, on top of the 5 seconds of infinite stamina
  • Patriots Flag: planting draws a green healing circle that grows out and fades. You can plant once per round and still swing the flag as a melee weapon. Planted flags now show in co-op
  • Bandolier now also gives 2 extra M60 mags. M249 mags hold 70 rounds (was 85), M60 mags hold 85 (was 50)
  • Playing with bots: hordes are smaller. Bots count as half a player when the game sizes the hordes, so solo with bots is fairer. Full lobbies of real players still get huge hordes
  • Kingstreet: the plaza hold spawns fewer zombies, so it's no longer a death trap or a money farm
  • Multiplayer: leaving a match now forfeits that round. A lag spike keeps your body where it was
  • Multiplayer: a match no longer waits forever on a player who can't load: there is a 60 second limit
  • Fixed: a ghost round could keep running after everyone had left
  • Armory cards have clearer outlines: equipped cards glow gold, the selected one white
  • Barrett 50 Cal.: each bullet now pierces up to 5 zombies in a line (was 3)
  • Slot 1 now names what it holds on that gun (sight, stock, mag or gun kit), e.g. the Minigun's Mini Minigun kit

Supply-drop guns, Aegis Exo-Suit, special ammo loads

Monday 5 October 2026 · Feature update

  • Supply drops now also drop guns for newer players (under rank 20): one gun per player plus 2 spares, spread around the crate. Press F to take one. You get one per round, it replaces that slot for the round only, and your own gun is back next round
  • New armor: Aegis Exo-Suit (rank 58, 5000$). +70 HP, +3 mags, immune to pins, trips and Ticker radiation, less blast and fire damage, a sprint that speeds up the longer you run, and a Shockwave Rush that shoves and trips zombies
  • Fire, Ice and Explosive ammo are now bought per round, like items: one load fills that gun's special ammo for one round, and you can buy as many as you like. The card shows how many you have
  • Already bought special ammo? Each type you owned became 10 free loads
  • Prices depend on the gun: a load costs more the more rounds it gives, so the Minigun's is the most expensive
  • Auto-restock also buys 1 load of your equipped special ammo when you run out
  • Quit or restart before you switch to the special ammo and you get the load back
  • Hard ammo stays a permanent upgrade

  • It's Halloween season: Christmas armor and melee are out of the Store until Christmas. Anything you already own stays yours and still works. Halloween gear is on sale
  • Voice chat: you now hear your teammates by default. Your microphone stays off (and the browser never asks for it) until you turn on "Use my microphone" in Settings > Audio. Hearing and talking are separate switches
  • Fixed: the zombie store showed $0 after you died, so you couldn't buy anything. It now uses this round's cash plus your zombie earnings; what you spend comes off what you keep
  • The Brute can be bought once per round per player (its row says so before you buy). Rising as a picked zombie now shows what it cost
  • Fixed: the chat, kill feed and "You are spectating" line no longer cover the death screen's round stats or the bottom bar
  • Laser sights now shine straight out of the barrel; the dot marks where the gun points
  • Store: guns now show their special traits under Ammo (Pierce, Wall pierce, Explosive, Burns, No dropoff, Dual wield, and drawbacks like Spin-up, No sprint, Hip fire only, No refill). Hover a chip for details
  • Lobby join, leave and countdown sounds now play while you're in the Armory or Settings, not only on the lobby screen
  • Bots no longer freeze in doorways or against walls: they step round you, walk through doors, back off zombies in their way, and keep shooting at a zombie that ducks out of sight
  • The bottom bar in a round now matches the main menu's: rank, EXP bar, cash, MENU, the speaker and your name, plus what you earned this round
  • The speaker button now mutes only the music (game sounds stay on), on every screen
  • New setting: Gunshot volume (Settings > Audio) turns down all gunfire, including the minigun and flamethrower
  • Single player: hold Tab and move the mouse to get your cursor in the scoreboard, just like in multiplayer. The round keeps going
  • Hold Tab and click MENU or the speaker in the bottom bar
  • Fixed: in your first multiplayer game some weapon sounds were missing or generic (like the Toy Hammer's Super Smash). Every player's guns now load their own sounds
  • M249 box magazine: 85 rounds (was 55). Toy Hammer Super Smash radius: 15 studs (was 60)
  • Playing as a Leaper: pounce with Space instead of holding the mouse. No cooldown, you can chain pounces until your stamina runs out (hold Space to pounce again on landing)
  • The Leaper now crawls on all fours, and its hitboxes follow the crawl: aim low for its head
  • The Skull Champion no longer spawns
  • Multiplayer lobby: when you're tabbed out and someone joins, the browser tab now says "Player joined!" until you come back
  • Multiplayer lobby: the Kick button is gone from player tiles. Vote-kick is now only in the Tab scoreboard during a round
  • Fixed: spamming Ready in the lobby could keep the match from ever starting. Un-readying now only pauses the countdown, so it keeps running down
  • Picking up items from the ground now has a 1 s cooldown, so one player can't grab a whole airdrop alone
  • Fixed: Brutes and other big zombies could get stuck on a door frame (like the barn doors) forever. They now step sideways and come through

In-round Armory, Kingstreet city stop, zombie store + first person as a zombie, phone support, graphics settings, Veteran + horde waves

Sunday 4 October 2026 · Feature update

  • New: the Armory. Hold Tab and open the Armory tab to buy with this round's cash: Extra Ammo $150, Vitamins $115, Grenade $75, Flash $45, Molotov $90, Fire Extinguisher $225, Jerry Can $75, Propane $75, Tomahawk $150
  • Each Armory item can be bought once per round. Extra Ammo drops a box at your feet, everything else goes straight into your inventory. Works in single player, multiplayer and on phones
  • 1930's Kingstreet is longer: tires now spawn near the garage and the bridge, then the truck drives into the city and stops at the plaza by a wrecked tram
  • Kingstreet: grab the winch from the subway and bring it to the wreck, then hold the plaza for 3 minutes while zombies pour in faster and faster, then chase the truck into the tunnel
  • During holds the objective arrow points at the spot to defend, and your bots defend it with you
  • Multiplayer: joining a round that's already running puts you next to your team instead of back at the start
  • New: the zombie store. Playing as a zombie, press B and buy a special with 1-9 / 0 (or click it on the death card): Runner $80, Edgar $100, Stalker $120, Digger $120, Swarmer $140, Ticker $150, Leaper $165, Mini Brute $250, Fire Elemental $300, Brute $600
  • Buying turns you into that zombie on the spot (you keep your health %), or picks your next body while you're dead. The store opens 1 minute into the round, only one Brute at a time, and a kind has a cooldown after you die as it
  • Zombies earn cash now: $120 for killing a survivor, $25-100 for an assist, $10 per Digger sabotage hit. The money lasts for the round
  • Playing as a zombie you can now scroll into first person
  • Zombie claws are easier to land: they hit the survivor under your crosshair first and reach a bit wider and further (never through walls)
  • New: play on your phone! Turn it sideways (landscape): a move stick on the left, drag anywhere on the right to look, and big buttons for fire, aim, jump, reload, crouch and the rest. Phones play in first person
  • Phones get a light aim assist: your aim slows down a little over a zombie so you can track it. Phones only, never on a PC, and you can turn it off in Settings
  • Settings has a new Touch controls section: look sensitivity, button size, mirror controls for left-handers, vibration (Android) and aim assist
  • New graphics settings: Low, Medium and High quality plus a render scale. High is the look you know; phones start on Low so they run smoothly
  • Settings can show an FPS counter, and if the game keeps running slowly the main menu offers a lower setting once
  • Menus, the store and the multiplayer lobby are readable and tappable on phones, and a "rotate your phone" screen shows in portrait (the round pauses)
  • New: the Veteran. One of your bots is now a battle-hardened bodyguard with a SCAR-H and Bulldozer I armor. He roams on his own, but when you drop below half health, get swarmed or go down, he sprints back, guards you and revives you first
  • A shield over the Veteran's head shows when he's protecting someone (gold when it's you). His kills near you while he's guarding you pay you the full kill reward
  • In multiplayer rooms with bots, the Veteran guards whichever player is in the most trouble and is the last bot to leave as players join
  • Horde waves: from minute 5, zombies come in bursts every 75 seconds, bigger as the round goes on and bigger with more survivors. Still beatable solo; big lobbies get big hordes
  • Big lobbies can now have more zombies at once
  • Multiplayer: the shot direction your game predicts now matches the server when you aim point-blank

Free MP5 Classic, Energetik, Scout Scope, a clearer multiplayer lobby, BOT tags, fair rejoins + fixes

Saturday 3 October 2026 · Patch

  • Bots are now easy to spot: a BOT tag over their heads, on their portraits and next to their names in the Tab scoreboard
  • The Tab scoreboard now scrolls when there are many players (the mouse wheel scrolls it while Tab is held)
  • Big squads no longer stretch across the screen: extra portraits at the top and on the death screen wrap into smaller rows
  • Multiplayer lobby: when someone joins, their tile flashes, you hear a chime and their join line shows in green
  • Multiplayer lobby: once half the players are ready the countdown is now 30 s (was 15 s). Everyone ready still starts in 3 s, but a player who joins mid-countdown always gets time to vote and get ready
  • A sound and a flash when the match countdown starts or speeds up, a tick at 3-2-1, and the browser tab shows the countdown while you're tabbed out
  • The server list refreshes by itself and shows which servers are starting and which are mid-round
  • Join Official always puts you in an Official server with a free seat, even when the first one is full
  • Joining a round in progress now tells you so
  • Leave server during a round now asks you to confirm
  • Chat from the previous round is dimmed in the lobby, under a divider
  • The multiplayer results screen timer now matches when the lobby really opens
  • The Stalker zombie no longer spawns
  • Fixed: players who lost connection counted in the lobby's ready count, a rare case where you could get stuck on "Joining…", and the Ready button sometimes not updating
  • Better protection against people filling up servers or copying a player's name with look-alike letters
  • The MP5 Classic is free again: every player owns it from the start and new players get it as their first gun. The Remington 700 is still in the Armory
  • Multiplayer: no two players in a room can share a name, and guests can't use a registered player's username. Guests now have a small "guest" tag next to their name
  • New item: Energetik energy drink ($120, rank 10). For 20 s: +25% move speed, +20% max stamina, sprinting drains 50% slower and stamina refills 25% faster. A glowing bar under your stamina shows the time left
  • Multiplayer: if you leave or lose connection, your survivor no longer turns into a bot. It stands for 5 s, then disappears and comes back in the same spot when you return
  • Multiplayer: you can't be hurt while you're still on the loading screen; your survivor appears when your map is ready
  • Rejoining a round while downed gives you your downed body back, so a teammate can still revive you
  • New Scout Scope for the Winchester: a 2x scope that fits alongside Tune and Gunslinger
  • Tomahawks now come in pairs: throw two per buy
  • Explosions now look as big as their real blast radius, with a ring that shows the edge
  • Dual guns (Mini Uzis, Peacemaker) now show both guns in the Armory
  • Contracts now pay you back 2x their price in Cash, on top of the EXP
  • Main menu: the Discord reward and the free Kalashnikova no longer overlap. They now share one spot and take turns; use the arrows or dots to switch
  • Fixed: guests could leave and rejoin to respawn as a fresh survivor, a zombie that kept respawning after a zombie player left, and dead players getting win credit on contracts

Smooth multiplayer, ragdolls in multiplayer, voice chat, flashlights + faster ranks

Saturday 3 October 2026 · Feature update

  • Every survivor now has a flashlight: press X to turn it on or off, with any weapon in hand
  • A gun with the Flashlight attachment uses its much stronger, longer beam instead
  • Bots switch their flashlights on by themselves on dark maps (Dead Vacation, Camp Redwater)
  • Playing as a zombie? Press X for night vision
  • Proximity voice chat in multiplayer: hear players near you, louder the closer they are. Push-to-talk (` key) or open mic in Settings > Audio
  • Everyone in the lobby, loading and end screens can talk to the whole room; the dead and spectators talk among themselves
  • Bars bounce over a player's head and their name glows while they talk
  • Hold Tab to mute any player or change their volume (also on lobby tiles); a mute hides their chat too
  • Vote-kick: press Kick in Tab or the lobby, then everyone votes with F1 / F2 or the buttons. Needs 3 players; a kicked player can't return for 10 minutes
  • Holding Tab no longer frees your mouse unless you move it on purpose, so you can peek at the scoreboard mid-fight
  • Multiplayer now has ragdolls too: knocked-down and dead players and zombies flop, fly from blasts and get back up smoothly, like in single player
  • Much smoother multiplayer: no more rubber-banding, snapping back or stutter, even on laggy or jittery Wi-Fi
  • Shooting, reloading, switching weapons, melee and zombie abilities react instantly in multiplayer
  • Other players and zombies move smoothly instead of jerking around
  • Your own rockets and grenades leave the barrel right away
  • Hits land where you aimed, even with high ping
  • Hammer walls, placed C4, barrels and ammo boxes now show up for everyone in multiplayer, and thrown grenades are visible in flight
  • Objective pointers now work in multiplayer
  • Coming back to the game tab no longer breaks sound or aiming
  • Fixed: the server could lag behind when many players spammed inputs
  • Fixed: in third person your bullet tracers came out of your chest instead of the gun barrel
  • Medkit, bandage and grenade-cook rings show again in multiplayer, and their animation starts the moment you press
  • Shooting from the back of an open vehicle, switching ammo type and the first shot after a reload all react instantly in multiplayer
  • The "Connection unstable" warning shows after 1 s instead of 2.5 s and no longer covers your health bar
  • On the multiplayer death screen the button now says "Leave room", so you don't leave by accident
  • Ranking up is much faster: new guns unlock in hours, not days
  • You now earn double Cash from kills, round wins, objectives and revives
  • Armor and items cost a bit more (x1.5) so they stay worth it
  • Contracts cost and pay twice as much, and daily quests and login streaks pay double Cash
  • At max rank the EXP bar now shows MAX RANK

  • Break Free: when a special zombie grabs, pins or stuns you, hit the timing ring to escape (5 tries), then get 5 s of grab immunity

  • Multiplayer: smoother servers, server updates no longer kick you mid-match, rejoining puts you back in your old body, objectives show for everyone and push objectives move when survivors stand near them
  • Balance and feel: Tickers rush from further away and charge when hurt, the Electric Elemental's stun is short with a cooldown, a heavier SCAR-H shot, full scope view on the AUG and ACOG, a 3x bigger jerry can, all zombies are simply called "Zombie" and Arena waves count every kill
  • The loading screen shows real progress and about how long is left. If the game can't start, it says why and offers a Reload button
  • Fixed: first-time players stuck on the loading screen, the zombie respawn countdown in multiplayer, the JOIN OFFICIAL button, PLAYING counts, the kill streak reset, missing or old menu music. Refreshing mid-round now asks you to confirm
